Dublin Gig Guide : 29th January – 5th February

Dublin Gig Guide 29th January - 5th February

We’re back with this weeks Dublin Gig Guide! Everything you need to plan the weeks gigs!

Kicking off this week we have a fantastic show in Vicar Street with Fun Lovin’ Criminals! The Scooby snackers will be playing all the hits and it’s not one to miss! Doors at 7PM, tickets are still available at €35! Next up on Thursday night we have Exmagician from Belfast. Things are looking good for the Belfast rockers, with a number of shows booked in Ireland and the UK throughout February Exmagician are ones to keep an eye on in 2017. Kicking off the weekend we have Joeseph in Whelan’s, Joeseph is a trio of sisters from Portland and with a European and North American tour lined up this is going to be a great show at tickets are only €13.

We have a busy Saturday night with two headline shows in the Button Factory and Whelan’s. 65 days of static an electronic post/math rock group from Sheffield, England are playing in the Button Factory as part of a European tour, always putting on a fantastic show that have been compared to God Is An Astronaut and And So I Watch You From Afar, be sure to get down and catch them if you can! Then over in Whelan’s we have the really good Irish rock band Fangclub, you would be forgiven thinking that these guys are the second coming of Nirvana! With a great EP under their belt, 2017 is looking good for Fangclub, be sure to check them out!

Closing out the weekend we have a couple of exciting shows happening on Sunday night, Scottish rockers Frightened Rabbit will be playing the The Academy and over the way in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Conor Oberst is bringing his solo show to Dublin. Oberst who shot to fame with his project “Bright Eyes” has released 10 solo albums to date and a number of other releases as Bright Eyes, Desaparecidos, Commander Venus, Park Avenue and Monsters of Folk. Probably one of the hardest working people in music and the Bord Gais Theatre will be a great venue for such a talent. Get down early as doors for this one are 7PM.

This weeks GIG OF THE WEEK has to be up and coming rockers Fangclub! The lads from Rush, Co. Dublin are going to be the next best thing if they aren’t already! For €13 as well, be sure to get down and catch them!

Be sure to check back next week for more of the best gigs around Dublin!
