It’s that time of the week again! Our Dublin Gig Guide gives you all the info you’ll need to plan the weeks gigs! Let’s kick things off with Monday night, and as many of us will have those bank holiday Monday blues, Suzanne Savage’s Supersoup in Arthurs Bar will help kickstart your bank holiday! Suzanne Savage is a well established singer-songwriter and has made a name for herself as one of Dublin’s best. “Supersoup” consists of Christian Altehülshorst on the trumpet, Suzanne providing the vocals, Scott Flanagan on the organ, and Dominic Mullan keeping the beat. All ready to mix it all up for one night only in Dublin! Arthur’s bar from 7PM! Tuesday night, we have the hottest new music venue in Dublin, The Bowery hosting an open mic night. Hosted by Cian, from the band MKAI, The Bowery’s open mic is known for anyone who wants to try out new material!
Wednesday night, we have Dead Label performing at Dublin’s best rock & metal nightclub, Fibbers! Providing all the best in Irish metal, Dead Label have gotten a number of high profile gigs under their belt since their inception in 2008, so if it’s metal you’re after head down to Fibbers! Over in Whelan’s, we have a band that performed at the Sound Training College’s Searchlight event, The Felonies! Making huge waves around Dublin the past few months, The Felonies have built a massive following and with gigs all around Ireland they are definitely one to keep your eyes on over the next year! Elsewhere, we have the infamous Sister Sledge playing as part of the Leopardstown as part of the Bulmers Live Gig Series. Sister Sledge have had one of the biggest singles ever to be released, “We Are Family” went gold and enabled the group to secure their place as one of the finest R’n’B acts there ever was!
Kicking off a quiet weekend, we have Congo Natty & Congo Dubz and Iron Dread performing for the first time in Ireland! Spreading love, peace and unity, Congo Natty will be providing positive vibes with cool reggae vibes in the Tivoli Theatre from 8PM! On Saturday, we have authentic Ska band The Skazz performing at The Bowery! If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican Ska, Skinhead Reggae and Rocksteady, then The Skazz is where you want to be! They play The Bowery from 8PM! Over in Whelan’s, we have all-girl group.
Montauk Hotel providing the tunes for the night! Since establishing themselves as one of the best new bands to come out of Dublin in recent times, they are releasing their new single on Saturday night! “Sense Of Place” features Montauk Hotel’s great brand of shimmering indie pop, with fantastic melodies they have really cemented themselves as one of the best Irish bands around at the moment.
Sunday see’s the end of the week and what better way then with The Riptide Movement! After their breakthrough album in 2014 ‘Getting Through’, and a string of top 10 singles and various sold-out headline tours, The Riptide Movement continue their international rise with upcoming European and Worldwide release of their newest album ‘Ghosts’ amidst a run of upcoming Irish, European & US dates throughout the rest of the year.
