Dublin Gig Guide: March 26th – April 1st 2018

Monday 26th

MØ @ Olympia Theatre – 7PM

Danish singer-songwriter MØ plays the Olympia Theatre after her show at The Academy got rescheduled. A familiar blend of electro and synth-pop, tickets €21!


Tuesday 27th 

Django Django @ Tivoli Theatre – 7.30PM

Quirky indie-rock is what Django Django do, and they do it very well! Tickets from the original date of March 2nd still valid.

Phoenix @ Olympia Theatre – 7PM

Alternative French indie-pop rockers Phoenix will play a SOLD OUT show at the Olympia Theatre. New album “Ti Amo” has done very well since it’s release in late 2016.


Wednesday 28th 

Young Fathers @ The Academy – 7PM

Young Fathers cover a number of bases with their music, mostly alternative lo-fi R&B trio; however, they don’t completely fit in that box, with their wide-spanning spread of Hip Hop, Punk, Dub, Gospel and Pop. SOLD OUT!

 

Kojaque @ Button Factory – 7.30PM

Kojaque is a Dublin based writer, producer and artist who has been making waves one the hip hop circuit with enticing visuals and honest lyricism for the past three years.


Thursday 29th

Gary Numan @ Olympia Theatre – 7PM

Gary Numan is back with his 18th album! “Savage” is set in a post global warming, apocalyptic, Earth in the not-too-distant future. There is no technology left and most of the planet has turned to a desolate, desert wasteland. Food is scarce, water even more so and human kindness and decency are just a dim and distant memory. It’s a harsh, savage environment, as are the survivors who still roam across it.


Friday 30th

Sam Smith @ 3 Arena – 6.30PM

Sam Smith headlines the 3 Arena on Friday & Saturday with two sold out show! His most recent album, The Thrill Of It All has been well received from critics and fans alike!

 

Yankari @ Wigwam – 10PM

Yankari are a collaboration of jazz, funk, dance and rock n roll whilst keeping the traditional groove elements of Afrobeat. Free in!


Saturday 31st

Big Thief @ Whelan’s – 8PM

American indie-rock band Big Thief will be playing the first of two sold out shows at Whelan’s on Saturday!

 

Anja Schneider @ 39/40 – 11PM

New venue 39/40 host techno superstar Anja Schneider, limited tickets available, you can get freelist/cheaplist by heading over to the event page! Support from Colin Perkins & Zee Ziggy.


Sunday 1st April

Mano Le Tough @ District 8 – 11PM

Former resident of Berlin and currently living in Zürich, Mano runs the widely acclaimed record label “Maeve” alongside The Drifter and Baikal. The label has gathered a huge loyal following since its establishment in 2012. This is going to be a good one so be sure to make it down!
