New Music Monday – 17th April 2017

Kendrick Lamar – DAMN

K.Dot's latest effort, DAMN was released a week after it was rumoured and of course it did not disappoint. Kendrick ticks all the boxes with this both lyrically and musically. Also this is his second appearance on New Music Monday so must be doing something right!

Check out : D.N.A, Loyalty Element.

Royal Blood – Light's Out

Alternative rock from Brighton, England. The two-piece create a fantastically dense sound with only the two of them. Their tight drums and distored guitars remind one of Wolfmother or Priestess. The lads also have a new album coming June 2017.

Fionn Regan – The Meetings Of The Waters

Mr. Regan 's first effort since his 2012 releases The Bunkhouse Vol. 1, and the album is named after a local area of Avoca, Co. Wicklow. Sonically, very calming, acoustic and contemplative mixed with elements of punk and electronica.

Dermot Kennedy – Doves & Ravens

A great EP from Dermot Kennedy, if you were to imagine that Mumford & Sons began using more electronic instruments, but were still able to maintain the emotion of the lyrics.

LANY – It Was Love

New dreamy synth-pop from the L.A based trio, and third single from their debut album due for release on 30th June.
