Songwriting with Richey McCourt delves into the art of songwriting by exploring the many different elements that make up a hit record. The aim of the course is to help songwriters hone their skills, by taking an in-depth look into areas such as Melodies, Arrangement, Lyrics, and writing songs for the current Music Industry.

The course is delivered by songwriter Richey McCourt. Richey is a Dublin, London and Sweden-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He has over 15 years of Music Industry experience and has written songs for artists such as Pixie Lott, Matt Cardle, and Will Young. Richey is currently signed to the publishing company One MGMT, and has enjoyed number one album success by writing the final track, "I Don't Need A Lover", on the Will Young album, 85% Proof. He also wrote the number one single "Losing the Love" for Disney Channel star Tini which was featured in the Disney Movie "Tini: El Gran Cambio de Violetta". Richey also co-wrote & co-produced the Choice Music Prize nominated track "Again" with artist Laoise.
