Let's Get By Together is a charity album that was recorded and released in 2014 by the students of Sound Training College in aid of BeLonG To Youth Services. BeLong To Youth Sevices is the national organinsation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) young people, between the ages of 14 and 23. They work to eliminate homophobic and transphobic bullying and to support and empower those who have faced it.
The album features tracks from Delorentos, Ham Sandwich, CPNHGN and many more.
The Album
Let's Get By Together features 13 tracks, all based around the theme of togetherness and acceptance in line with what BeLong To works to acheive. This charity album features some excellent covers of iconic tracks. From Barbara Streisand to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
The second year Sound Training College students were involved in every aspect of the production of the charity album, from the very start organising bands and a charity, right through the recording and mixing process to the PR and launch and everything in between. Every year the students have the chance to get involved in a fantastic project like this and record a charity album. It's a great chance to really take ownership of a project and understand how the industry works, and is many student's favourite part of the course.
