War at the Button is an exciting new Sound Training Productions venture and a great opportunity for bands to push themselves to the next level. It's a chance to play in the Button Factory, one of the biggest and best venues in Dublin, and on top of that the chance to win fantastic prizes designed specifically to progress the band in the industry.

War at the Button is a competition in the renowned Button Factory venue, with 36 bands competing over 6 heats for the chance of a lifetime: To win an exclusive recording package in the luxurious residential recording studios, Grouse Lodge. Grouse Lodge boasts amazing facilities and has played host to the likes of Michael Jackson, Will.I.Am, Muse and Snow Patrol among many others. There are also other prizes to be won such as recording sessions in the renowned Sun Studios in Temple Bar and Elektra Studios also in Temple Bar. To make these complete packages, there's also mixing and mastering by the amazing Fergal Davis, who has mastered some great tracks for high profile bands.

War at the Button will also be a showcase of Sound Training College alumni, as there will be many graduates of the college working at the events. Some of the heats will correspond with Sound Training College Open Days, and will be a great opportunity to get to see the kind of work our students are involved in. You can see graduates of our courses working in a top class venue, using knowledge that they gained through STC courses.
