Student Experience – Major Projects

Throughout the college year, our students will embark on multiple major projects as part of our courses. These projects coincide with assignments & exams as all college students must endure! Over the course of our Sound Engineering & Music Production full-time & part-time courses & Live Sound courses there are usually three major projects. Searchlight, our EMP Showcase & Charity Album.

Real World Experience

These projects are aimed at familiarising the students real-world experience in the industry with giving them access to real-world situations! Working with clients, establishing relationships, gaining practical knowledge & gaining experience are the main goals. We are delighted to be able to prepare our students for work in the industry after graduation. We encourage our students from all courses to collaborate with each on events, showcases and performances.

Student & Artist Development & Beyond

Over the past number of years, we have had a couple of high profile names take part in both the Searchlight Development Deal and our Charity Album with both gaining traction over the years.  Many of the bands that are lucky enough to be chosen for the development deal have gone on to play some of the biggest and best festivals in Ireland including Electric Picnic and Forbidden Fruit! The Clockworks, Search Party Animal, Ailbhe Reddy, Wolves Of Youth, Dreaming Of Jupiter to name a few! While featuring on our charity albums include the likes of Farah Elle, The Clandestinos, BARQ, Soulé, Mundy & Wolff! Head over to our Releases page to listen!
