They are known for some of the most interesting plugins, Movement, Substance, Signal, Exhale among others! They had teased us earlier in the month via social media with posts such as “Built By Musicians, For Musicians”, “It Doesn’t Make A Single Sound”, and “It’s Not A Plugin”. Music Industry Round-Up : May 2017 The people over at Propellerhead have finally added VST support to Reason! Reason hit our shelves 17 years ago and was released as a self-contained studio with synths, samplers and drum machines. In 2009 they released Record, which added the ability to record, mix and arrange audio which was another thing missing from the original Reason. They have it all now! Upgrades to Reason 9.5 are free for all version 9 holders. Learn more here.  Roland have released the SPD::ONE electronic percussion pads. Sound Training Industry Round-Up March 2017 So as March draws to a close let’s have a look at some of the main talking points that happened throughout the month, there was some interesting developments with the hardware side of things as a very popular drum machine manufacturer said they would not be updating there flagship product, whereas on the other hand a reliable well-known cheaper alternative brand were discussing the release of their first hardware synth based on the MiniMoog! Dave Smith Instruments have decided to end their development of it’s Tempest Drum Machine after 6 years on the market.
