Tell us about your current job/career path.

I am currently working full time as a sound engineer and producer in Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, as well as working as a Floor Manager in the Conservatory of Music in Haarlem.

Did you enjoy your time in CMP?

I loved my time in CMP, at the time I had no idea how valuable the lessons I was learning were! The lessons we learned have not only helped me in understanding signal flow of all the studios I now work in, but especially on the importance of client relations and keeping the musicians happy.

How did it help you with your career?

Studying in STC/IADT allowed me to really explore the different avenues of working as a Sound Engineer, and the many roles you can take on in the field to make a career (radio engineering, DJ'ing, Producing, studio and live engineering, playing as the musician etc). Having a good understanding of signal flow and studio layouts allowed a lot of freedom and involvement in the facilities that I now have access to - being a one man audio army has proven very useful for getting clients and being trusted with the high profile clients such as Nas the rapper, Unknown T, Folamour, and Focus.
